There are only two weeks — exactly 14 days, if you’re counting — until the midterm elections on November 6.
In 14 days, we’ll have a chance to elect leaders who will fight for just climate action, turn the tide against Trump’s hateful agenda, put Congress in progressives’ hands, and pass historic climate legislation in states across the country.
But to make any of that happen, we need all hands on deck right now.
Our members have already texted thousands of voters urging them to get involved in some of the most important races in the country — but we’re just getting started, and we need more support.
Here are some of the candidates and initiatives we’re getting out the vote for:
- Texting to get out the vote for Jess King as she campaigns for a green economy that works for all of us in her bid for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 11th district
- Calling voters in Washington & Colorado to support ballot measures that fight back against Big Oil and support green energy jobs
- Texting to sign up members up nationally to knock on voters’ doors in the last weekend before the elections
- Texting to support Portland’s Clean Energy Initiative to tax corporate polluters and fund green energy!
This year’s elections will have huge consequences for our communities and for the climate. With so much at stake for the planet and for people under attack right now — trans folks, immigrants, women, and too many more of us — we can’t afford to leave anything to chance.
Our votes this November can ensure that our halls of power, from our governors’ mansions to the next Congress, are filled with progressive leaders willing to take bold, just action to fight climate change and protect our families and neighbors from Trump’s attacks. We can elect leaders who will support a Green New Deal, refuse fossil fuel industry donations, stand up against new drilling leases, and fight for an America that works for all of us.
But to make sure that we elect these bold leaders and pass visionary climate solutions in just two weeks, we need your help to get the word out. Are you in?
