During an election year as critical as this one, it’s easy to forget that our work extends far beyond November 8th. Who is in the White House matters in setting the political agenda for the next four years. That person must not be Donald Trump, the worst possible candidate for the climate.

We’re working to elect Hillary Clinton, not because she’s the climate champion we need, but because we know we can push her to keep fossil fuels in the ground. Young people in the climate movement have led the way this election, getting Secretary Clinton to come out against the Keystone XL pipeline, the TPP, and fossil fuel extraction on federal lands. Once we get her elected to the White House, we’ll be back in the streets again holding her to account — starting with a rejection of the Dakota Access Pipeline.
