350 Action Digital Consultant
The election this November is critical. 350 Action wants to ensure we are maximizing our impact in the race by ensuring that our supporters are doing all they can to support climate candidates, particularly at the top of the ticket. 350 Action is looking for a digital organizing consultant to help build a viable election machine, particularly in battleground states. The 350 Digital Organizing Consultant will take an active role in moving 350 Action supporters into engagement and electoral work, both on-line and off-line.
The Consultant’s Main Scope of work includes:
- In consultation with the US Team, drafting the on-line to off-line engagement for 350 Action’s supporter base. This includes activating people for travel to door knock as well as phone banking and text banking
- Support for 350 State Organization-Based Electoral Efforts
- A variety of forms of digital engagement, including social media and a comprehensive email program including rapid response.
- Support our 350 Action social media consultants on maintaining active social media accounts
- Support updating our website in real time.
- Ability to train and retain volunteers.
- Ability to help coordinate with coalition partners
Requirements:
- 3 years of digital organizing experience
- Experience working on at least 1 state of federal election campaign with distributed organizing
- Bringing volunteers from online to off-line work
- Ability to interface with and organize volunteers virtually
- Experience with a variety of digital platforms such as VAN and Scale to Win
- Electoral experiments
- Strong narrative writing and email copy experience
- Up to date on the current U.S. Political Landscape
Fees payable:
This is a 4 month consultancy. The total fee for this work will be $30,000 (thirty thousand dollars), payable monthly subject to satisfactory delivery of the work. We expect the consultant to be available throughout the four month period.
