Democrats took back the House. Now, it’s time for action. Real climate leadership means passing visionary policy solutions like a Green New Deal and standing up to big polluters.

We elected dozens of climate champions and sent a clear message of resistance to Trump and his fossil-fueled cronies. Now, let’s make it clear to our new members of Congress that we expect real leadership on climate that puts people before Big Oil’s bottom line.

We need people in Congress who will actually fight for a healthy climate and justice for all of us. That means we need to do what we can to elect them — right now.

In 14 days, we’ll have a chance to elect leaders who will fight for just climate action, turn the tide against Trump’s hateful agenda, put Congress in progressives’ hands, and pass historic climate legislation in states across the country.

If Kavanaugh’s nomination goes forward, we won’t be able to depend on the federal courts to protect the rights of marginalized and vulnerable people. We will be looking at a Supreme Court that could spend generations rolling back social, economic, racial and environmental justice in support of corporate power. We deserve better.
